ATTENDANCE

It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure student’s consistent attendance in accordance with the purchased plan. There will be no makeup classes or refunds offered for missed classes. Students are required to show up to their scheduled classes. If we choose to cancel classes for any other reason, makeup classes will be provided for the canceled class(es).

HOLIDAY BREAKS

Our payment structure is based on a 4 weeks per month, 48 weeks per year basis. This takes into account the 4 weeks of major holiday breaks (Spring Break, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Year’s) normally given by schools in the Fremont/Newark/Union City (California) locale. Therefore, during these months your student may receive less than 4 classes or 4 weeks of classes. However, during other months, your student may receive 5 classes or 5 weeks of classes although you may only be paying for 4 classes or 4 weeks of classes. Therefore, we do not normally give refunds or makeup classes for holiday breaks because you are not paying for classes during these breaks.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

We require all membership dues to be paid on an automatic debit basis (ACH or credit card). Membership dues will automatically be debited 30 days following the date you register (including months with time off due to Holidays).

TRAINING RISKS

As a parent, you understand the risks involved when participating in SSB Basketball Academy’s athletic activity. You agree that the participant(s), whether yourself, your child, or minor, are medically and physically able to be involved in such athletic activity. You understand that you should consult a physician before any type of athletic activity. You discharge, waive, release any claims for losses or damages, mental and/or physical injury, death, that may take place during or after participation with SSB Basketball Academy. You agree to assume these risks. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SSB Basketball Academy or any director, officer, employee, volunteer, coach associated with SSB Basketball Academy from any losses, damages, costs, injuries, death that may occur with SSB Basketball Academy activity in any facility or location (outdoor or indoor) in which SSB Basketball Academy operates. You agree that you are responsible and liable for such costs, losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, deaths that may occur and you promise not to sue SSB Basketball Academy or any director, officer, employee, volunteer, coach, or person associated with SSB Basketball Academy.

ENROLLMENT CANCELLATION & PAUSE

It is your responsibility to inform us via email at hello@ssbbasketball.com if you are discontinuing or pausing your student’s enrollment in the program. If we do not receive an email notification to discontinue or pause payment, tuition will continue to process even if your student(s) is not attending class. Once we are notified to stop or pause payment, auto-charges will be discontinued until the parent notifies us via email to resume auto-charges. Student memberships are based on a monthly subscription model. We do not provide partial refunds if you wish to cancel your student’s membership after his or her month of membership has already begun, so please notify us of your student’s discontinuation at least 30 days in advance. Once we receive notice of discontinuation, we will stop auto-charges for the following month and all subsequent months.

PHOTO RELEASE WAIVER

As a parent, you hereby grant SSB Basketball Academy the permission to use your or your child’s likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. You understand and agree that all photos will become the property of SSB Basketball Academy and will not be returned. You hereby irrevocably authorize SSB Basketball Academy to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, you waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo. You hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the SSB Basketball Academy from all claims, demands, and causes of action which you, your heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
