Basketball lessons almost too fun to be called ‘lessons.’
Basketball classes in Fremont for children ages 5 and up. Exciting drills! Enthusiastic coaches! At SSB, your child will make friends, build confidence, and learn how to wow on the court!

Our Coaches

Coach
Mike
Coach Mike has played basketball for over 30 years and has coached youth for over 15 years. He played high school basketball at JFK and American High School (Fremont, CA). He has instructed for basketball academies in the United States and also for former NBA superstar Yao Ming’s basketball academy in Shanghai, China. He thoroughly enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge for this sport with his students and hopes that this sport will bring as much joy to his students as it has for him.

Jason
Coach Jason has played basketball for over 20 years and has coached youth for over 5 years. He was a member of the Junior Men’s National Basketball Team for China from 2005-2007 and also played for the Ohlone College (Fremont, CA) men’s basketball team from 2010-2013. Coach Jason was also a head instructor at the 25th Anniversary Michael Jordan Flight School Basketball Camp in 2017.

Ring
Coach Ring played domestic and international basketball for 19 years and has coached kids for 11 years. He played competitively nationwide while on the men’s basketball team at Our Savior New American in New York (2005 – 2008), Ohlone College in Fremont (2010 – 2013), and internationally in Nairobi. Most recently, he played with Kevin Durant in the Kevin Durant Fantasy Tournament. His favorite part of basketball is coaching kids. Coach Ring is passionate about giving back to the community and helping kids reach their full potential.

Seenu
Seenu has been playing basketball since a very young age and there has always been a basketball in his hand. He recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.A. degree in Business Administration along with an emphasis in international business. He also coached the Men’s Club Basketball Team at Cal Poly Pomona in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Seenu has been coaching at SSB since 2020. His extensive coaching experience at both the SSB and collegiate club levels has profoundly sharpened his understanding of the game, elevating his leadership, basketball IQ, and ability to develop talent at a high level.

Evan
Coach Evan is a former starting forward for multiple CYO and AAU teams, mainly for the ‘b3 Ballin’ Ambassadors.’ Raised in Newark, he graduated from Newark Memorial High School in ’19 and is currently working towards his theology degree through online classes. Evan has been a Senior Head Coach for SSB for several years and has coached many teams in our seasonal league. He is also part of the SSB Administration Team and regularly responds to calls and emails. Evan is passionate about helping young players develop their games and strongly emphasizes self-confidence, which sets young athletes apart. Evan’s favorite basketball player is Steph Curry, not only because of his fantastic play or impact on the game but also because he is a competitor, teammate, and role model for athletes. Curry’s unique playstyle has led to many personal and team successes, and allowing students to find their own unique playstyle is an aspect of basketball that Coach Evan implements into his teaching and game plans.

Udun
Coach Udun began his basketball career at Roosevelt High School, where I developed the foundation of my game and a strong passion for competition. He continued playing at San Francisco State University, competing at the collegiate level and further sharpening his skills, discipline, and understanding of the game. After college, Udun went on to play professional basketball overseas, competing internationally for five years in Europe and Asia, including Spain, Germany, Vietnam and others. His playing experiences at the high school, college, and professional levels have shaped how he approaches the game and continue to influence his work in player development and coaching

Di’Jhae
As a kid you could catch your coach Di’Jhae Out at the park playing basketball All Day Long. Started Playing in 3rd Grade. Love grew for the game. He played for Elementary school “Forest Park Elementary” for 5th and 6th grade leading the team in scoring. He played AAU from 5th grade to graduation (12th) for multiple organizations including Bay Area Bossez, Anotha Level Basketball, Bay Area Trojans, Bay Area Mambas,and Roadrunners Sports Club as a key player to every team. He was a starter and elite defender. Di’Jhae attended American High School 2015-2019 and was a part of the 2019 graduating class. He played 1yr on Jv (Starter) and 3 years on Varsity (Starter). He Started basketball journey at Chabot College. His father passed away in December of 2019. He was forced to step away from the game for a while due to family reasons. Returned to the game to coach instead of playing as a way to pass on knowledge, tips and tricks accumulated through his journey. Di’Jhae Has Been A Co-head Coach For SSB since early 2023. He continues to inspire kids through dedication to his work and always bringing good energy.

Vivin
Coach Vivin has been playing basketball since the age of 5. He played AAU for the Mambas and Bosses before suiting up for American High School, where he served as captain of the Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams.
Vivin has been coaching at SSB since 2020, bringing nearly five years of mentorship to athletes across a range of ages and skill levels. His experience as a player allows him to build personalized coaching plans that put the player first, with a focus on fundamentals, confidence, and character. Whether he’s working with a beginner or sharpening a more advanced player’s decision-making, his goal is long-term growth—helping athletes leave each season as better players and more disciplined, team-oriented people.
Off the court, Vivin graduated from Chapman University with a B.S. in Applied Human Physiology, and plans to attend Medical School in the Fall of 2027.

Ron
With over two decades of dedication to youth athletics, Coach Ron has been volunteer coaching boys and girls basketball since 2004, including 15 years at Ardenwood Elementary, Holy Spirit CYO Basketball and Track & Field, the City of Fremont Youth Recreation League, two local AAU Girls Teams, and founding Dragons Basketball in 2019.
He is currently serving as Varsity Boys Assistant Coach at American High School.
Coach Ron continues to coach youth basketball for the connections forged on and off the court — witnessing young athletes discover their own confidence and teaching the values of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and accountability through sport.
Coaching is his way of honoring the mentors who shaped him, and paying that forward to every athlete he has the opportunity to guide.
